Yes. You pick male, female, a duet or a choir, plus the musical style and the mood. That is set in the form before the song is made, and if the result does not fit you can change the choice and run it again for free.
The voice is one of the fields in the form, not something we decide for you. You can pick a male or a female singer, a duet where two voices trade lines, or a choir where several voices carry the chorus. The choir option is the one to take when the point is a room singing along, because the chorus already sounds like a group rather than a soloist.
Next to the voice you set the musical style and the mood. Style is the genre: pop, ballad, rock, folk, schlager, hip hop, country. Mood is the emotional temperature: cheerful, tender, funny, solemn, wistful. The two together matter more than the voice alone. A tender ballad sung by a man and a tender ballad sung by a woman are closer to each other than a cheerful pop track and a solemn ballad in the same voice.
What you cannot do is order one specific named singer or ask for an imitation of a real artist. The voices are synthetic, they are not copies of anybody, and a song that imitated a recognisable artist would be a legal problem for you as much as for us. What you can say in the free-text field is the character you are after: warm and low, bright and young, raspy, gentle.
Each voice is generated fresh for your text, so two songs with the same setting will not sound identical. That is normally an advantage, but it also means the first attempt sometimes lands next to what you imagined rather than on it. Listening to the free preview before paying is the cheap way to find that out.
If the voice is wrong after payment, write to songs@maxkuch.com and say what should change, for example female instead of male, or calmer, or slower. You get up to six new versions at no cost, each one a complete new recording, and the older versions stay reachable so you can keep the one you prefer.
