I paid and did not receive a song. What now?

Long answer

In nine cases out of ten the mail arrived and the inbox is not where it landed. Check spam, junk and the promotions tab, and search for the brand name instead of scrolling: a mail from an unfamiliar sender with a download link is exactly the shape that filters distrust. On a phone the promotions tab is easy to miss entirely.

If it is genuinely not there, use the page at customsongwriter.com/download/. You enter the address you ordered with, nothing else, and the link to your song goes out again to exactly that address. We never show on that page whether an address exists in our records, so nobody can use it to fish for other people, and the mail can only ever go to an address that already has a paid song stored against it.

A typo in the address is the one case the page cannot repair, because then the mail has been going to an address that does not exist. Write to songs@maxkuch.com from an inbox you can actually read and add whatever you remember: roughly when you ordered, the amount, the name in the song, the payment reference from your bank or card statement. We search by hand and send the song to the new address.

Sometimes nothing is lost and the song is still being made. Five to ten minutes is normal, and if a generation fails it restarts on its own, which can add a few minutes. So after paying, give it a quarter of an hour before assuming something broke. The page you land on after payment also shows the song directly once it is ready, so keeping that tab open is the fastest route.

The link stays valid and your song stays reachable, so a mail found late is not a problem. And if all of this comes to nothing, that is a case for the money back rather than a shrug: nobody here is interested in keeping a payment for a song that never arrived.
