What happens to the personal details I enter?

Short answer

They are used to write your song and deliver it to you. We do not publish your song and do not use it as a sample unless you expressly allow it. It sits behind a link nobody can guess.

Long answer

A personal song needs personal details: names, nicknames, shared memories, sometimes things only the family understands. That is exactly why the question is fair, and it deserves an answer before you fill in the form.

The answers from the form are used to produce your lyrics and your recording, and to deliver the result to you. We need your email address so that you can find your song again if you close the tab or change device, and so that we can reach you if something goes wrong during production.

Your finished song sits at an address with a long identifier that cannot be guessed. It appears in no public list and cannot be found through the site. Anyone without the link cannot get to it. You can pass the link on when you want to share the song, and that is the usual way to send it to the person it is for.

We do not publish your song and do not use it as an example on the site unless you expressly allow us to. That is written into our terms as well, not just a statement of intent.

Which data we store, for how long, on what legal basis, and how to request access or deletion is set out in the privacy policy linked in the footer of every page. An email to the address given there is enough if you want your data removed.
